Gordon Trucking’s fleet is almost entirely made up of late model Freightliner Cascadia and Cascadia Evolution sleeper and day cab trucks with air ride cabs and suspension. A lot of our trucks come equipped with a Thermoking TriPac auxiliary power unit that includes an 1800 watt inverter and a bunk heater. All trucks are equipped with mobile communication technology including electronic driver log technology to improve efficiency and convenience for our professional drivers. The entire fleet is meticulously maintained which can be verified by checking Gordon Trucking’s CSA Maintenance Basic percentile.

Louis Ekler honored as GTI's Driver of the Month for May

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Louis Ekler as our May Driver of the Month.  Louis has been with GTI for a little over a year.  He started his driving career back in 1978 hauling tankers around California.  During a brief hiatus from trucking in 1985, he worked as an aircraft mechanic in Palmdale, CA for Rockwell International.  In 2001, Louis bought his own truck which he owned and operated for 14 years and was hauling rock and sand for construction sites in the Bay area.

Road Check Week Is Just Around the Corner!

Road check week is a dedicated period of 72 hours emphasizing compliance, enforcement and safety.  During this time, scales that are normally closed at night may be open.  Drivers should be on alert and pay special attention to all scales and checkpoints.

Gordon Drivers Win At Idaho Truck Driving Championships

For the second consecutive year, three Gordon Trucking drivers competed in the Idaho truck driving championships.  This year, 71 total competitors in 9 different categories, turned out to compete. Gordon was represented by Jim Cadwell, Miles Anderson and John Kauten Sr., who all competed in the 5 axle sleeper class division and run out of the Boise terminal.  Kauten had previously competed in 2014, but Cadwell and Anderson were rookies in the competition.
