Submitting Your Resume
If after reviewing the positions currently available on our
Career Opportunities page, you feel you would make a good candidate for one of the
positions, please follow the instructions to create an account, update your profile and
submit your resume and cover letter online.
Once you have submitted your resume, it will be reviewed by one of our recruiters.
This process may take up to two weeks. If you have been selected to continue you will
be contacted by phone to set up an initial interview; also referred to as a pre-screen
interview. During this time, you will be introduced to the hiring process at Gordon
Trucking. Expect to spend approximately 30 minutes answering a series of questions about
yourself and your experiences. During this time you will also have an opportunity to ask
any questions you may have about Gordon Trucking Inc. and the available position. Once
the initial screening is complete, you will be contacted either way within the next one
to two weeks.
Structured Interview Stage
Following a successful initial interview, an appointment may be made for a structured
interview. Rather than a panel interview where the candidate may feel overwhelmed, our
process is to have a few managers and a member of our executive team interview candidates
one-on-one. Expect this portion of the interview to last three to four hours. This interview
is more in-depth as we try to learn more about you and your potential as a successful
employee at Gordon Trucking Inc. Some of the questions you may encounter will ask you to
cite specific examples from your experiences at your previous employer, from school or from
life in general.
Following the structured interview, the managers involved in the hiring process will meet
and make a decision as to your career potential with Gordon Trucking, Inc. If you are a
successful candidate, an offer will then be made within the next two weeks. All offers are
made contingent upon passing a drug screen and a criminal background check.
