Edward Cruz honored as GTI's Driver of the Month for June

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Edward Cruz as our June Driver of the Month.  Ed has been with GTI for over five and half years.  Before driving, he was a custom glass installer.  Ed is currently on the Southwest Regional Fleet and runs through California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Latest Academy Class Adds Five to GTI’s Driver Trainer Roster

Five GTI drivers became the company’s latest Certified Driver Trainers following June’s three-day Driver Trainer Academy in Lathrop, Calif.

Completing a Driver Trainer Academy certification program were Balvir Bassi, Jeffrey Freeman, Charles “Chuck” Pitman, Gregory Stefonek and William Segovia.

Bassi is a Southwest Regional fleet driver dispatched out of Phoenix, Ariz., who resides near Sacramento, Calif. Freeman is a Georgia Pacific (GP) fleet driver who resides near Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Segovia is a GP fleet driver from Medford, Ore. Pitman is a Northern California local driver operating out of Lathrop, and Stefonek is a Midwest local driver based in Green Bay, Wisc.

Louis Ekler honored as GTI's Driver of the Month for May

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Louis Ekler as our May Driver of the Month.  Louis has been with GTI for a little over a year.  He started his driving career back in 1978 hauling tankers around California.  During a brief hiatus from trucking in 1985, he worked as an aircraft mechanic in Palmdale, CA for Rockwell International.  In 2001, Louis bought his own truck which he owned and operated for 14 years and was hauling rock and sand for construction sites in the Bay area.
