GTI teams up with Washington State Patrol to find missing children

Together with the Washington State Patrol, Washington Trucking Association, Budget Auto Wrecking and IMAGIC, Gordon Trucking would like to announce its new campaign directed toward finding missing children.

The “Homeward Bound” project kicked-off April 21, 2006 with four GTI trailers labeled with photos of missing children. These trailers will be traveling across the lower 48 states in an effort to locate the children and reunite them with their families.

GTI provided the equipment and Budget Auto Wrecking contributed the posters of the four missing children. Each poster carries a picture of the child, their name and the phone number for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The missing children are: Shania Supanich, age 8 Francisco Brian Rios Carriere, age 3 Sofia Hernandez, age 11 and Agueda Elizabeth “Lizzie” Arias, age 7.

With 245 cases of missing children currently being investigated by the Washington State Patrol, these four posters are a small step in assisting in finding these missing children.

“With a 60-year history as a family owned company, we feel we have a duty to support and contribute to the well being of families at GTI and in the communities we serve,” said Steve Gordon, Chief Operating Officer.

In addition participating in this new program, Gordon Trucking also sends Amber Alerts to our driving associates across the country through our Qualcomm onboard satellite communications system.
